Christmas Eve at Basta has become a tradition in and of itself. We have families that have joined us for this annual celebration for many consecutive years plus this year we welcomed many first time guests which is always a pleasure for us.
We all enjoyed the best of a traditional Italian Christmas menu, decor to bring the spirit of the season to life and even had a few surprise guests stop by! Best of all, through our new "Table 4-2" program we matched a meal for those in need 1:1 for each of the guests in attendance, feeding over 300 Americans in need this Winter.

This New Year's Eve at Basta was a night we won't soon forget. The food was great, the atmosphere was magical, the music was incredible and most of all, the guests were full of spirit. We literally partied from 4PM to 1AM and the crowd built in energy the entire time. We hope our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed hosting! Check out some highlight pics!
Last night Basta was honored to win the much coveted “Best Restaurant in Rhode Island” award at Rhode Island Monthly’s annual ceremony. For restaurants in Rhode Island this is one of the greatest accolades we can aspire to receive, from a very well respected publication and thousands of voters. For everyone here at Basta it represents a major achievement. That said, we are blessed to live in a state where we have an abundance of fantastic dining options. Among us are food service pioneers, culinary institutes and world renowned restaurants. So while we gladly receive this award with open arms and we see it as a confirmation of our hard work, we are humbled to our core and eager to get back to work.

Love is in the air at Basta! We're preparing for another gorgeous, intimate dining event with our biggest Valentine's Day celebration ever. Following the overwhelming response from last year’s “Night of 1,000 Roses” people are very excited and we have decided to make our VDAY celebration a 3-day affair! This New Years Eve Basta was packed from the moment we opened our doors until the early hours of the morning. From the live music to the delicious special menu, we had an incredible time! Whether you joined us or not, we think you will enjoy the photos of how truly outstanding the evening was. All our best in 2016!
Basta wants to thank everyone who participated in the first ever “Basta Charity Classic” golf tournament. The event was a huge success, raising over $25,000 for men’s cancer research. We were blessed with fantastic weather, a beautiful venue and a wonderful group of participants. We look forward to future events and thank you all!
A Rhode Island native, Alex Rosario grew up locally in Warwick, RI. He began working at Basta as a “busboy” in his youth and has graduated through the ranks over the past 6 years. He has created lasting memories with thousands of customers and is always attentive to detail and eager to over-deliver to our guests. He also has a knack for motivating and developing his fellow staff members to help everyone become better not only individually, but also as a team. Through the years Alex has grown a deep appreciation for all aspects of restaurant management, from the kitchen to the "front of the house".

As proud as Basta is of our Italian roots, we want to take a minute to pause this week and acknowledge the pride and love we have for the United States of America. Without the freedom, opportunity and security that this country provides, building a business centered around our traditions as a foreign culture would not have been possible.
As a small honor to classic American cuisine, we have created Basta’s version of three tried-and-true staples of the USA:
BASTABURGER: 100% Prime Angus Beef, Sharp Vermont Cheddar, Crisp Red Onion, Heirloom Tomato, Bread + Butter pickles and Hammer Sauce on a Pretzel Bun, served with Old Bay Fries.
CANE AL CALABRIA: Two all Natural Beef Hot Dogs, Braised Beef 3 Bean Chili, Cabbage and Calabrian chili slaw, served with Old Bay Fries.
