Altogether we've been at this for over a year. Business plans, creative meetings, design schematics and blueprints. Inside, outside, on the roof and in the basement. Tearing down and rebuilding, in every sense possible. Thinking and then rethinking again to get it just right. Swatches, samples, renderings and measurements. A few disappointments, but at least twice as many pleasant surprises. A 6,000 pound oven. Blowtorches, sawdust and noise. Interviews, tastings, menu meetings, permits and paperwork. Oh, and of course, a few delays, lots of 7 day work-weeks, swearing, laughing, hugs and handshakes.

The result is magical, Basta once again combines exceptional food, service and atmosphere, striking the perfect balance of what a complete, authentic Italian dining experience should be.

We are opening our doors for business on Thursday February 7th, at 4:00PM.
